In a continuous effort to provide up to date, robust computing infrastructure with new features and tools and to streamline the experience of investigators with research technology, the Phoenix High-Performance Computing (PHPC) workloads and users were recently migrated to DISCOVERY HPC.
This effort started in Summer of 2024 and has now successfully completed, thanks to a great collaboration and tireless effort between the Enterprise Unix Team and the Research IT infrastructure team, which led to the smooth migration of approximately 300 users across 100+ different projects to DISCOVERY HPC. The Phoenix HPC platform is set to be decommissioned after 14 years of successful service to Hopkins’ research community.
